Rickert Media v. International Business Times, Inc. Obtained $134,000 arbitration award for internet advertising representative business in breach of contract and fraud claim against internet publisher.

Boe v. MGA, Court File No. LC067227, (Los Angeles Superior Court). Obtained $400,000 arbitration award for manufacturer’s sales representative in breach of contract dispute. Obtained attorneys fees and prejudgment interest award and successfully recovered entire judgment amount by garnishing manufacturer’s California bank account.

Outdoor Environments, Inc. v. Maro, 2005 WL 1020898 (Minn. Ct. App.). Defended landscape architect in non-competition, misappropriation of trade secret and non-solicitation case brought by former employer. Prevailed after four-day trial Also prevailed on client’s $20,000 counterclaim for unpaid bonuses. Jury, on its own accord, wrote in award for attorneys fees on special verdict form.

In re Application for PERA Disability Benefits, 2006 WL 1985443 (Minn. Ct. App.). Obtained $200,000-plus present-value front pay award for county correctional worker denied “in line of duty” disability benefits in appeal before the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Finding caused state agency to reverse its interpretation of statute relating to disability payments payable to correctional employees who were injured performing non-hazardous duties.

First National Bank of Elk River v. Independent Mortgage Services, Inc., 1996 WL 229236 (Minn. Ct. App.) Successfully defended bank in complex, four-day declaratory judgment trial against secondary mortgage market assignee. Prevailed at trial and on appeal.

Oliver v. Heigl Mortgage and Financial Corp, 1998 WL 61994. Successfully defended landlord in breach of lease action brought by commercial tenant. Obtained jury verdict after three day jury trial in St. Louis County. Affirmed on appeal.

Citizens State Bank of Big Lake v. Capitol Indemnity Corp., 1995 WL 421672 (Minn. Ct. App.). Represented bank in fiduciary insurance claim against insurer. Prevailed at trial; affirmed on appeal with Minnesota Court of Appeals defining scope of “private,” contractual statute of limitations.

D&L Electric v. Haverstock, 1996 WL 344979 (Minn. Ct. App.). Successfully represented electrical contractor in three-day mechanic’s lien trial before Chief Judge Mabley in Hennepin County. Award, including record attorneys’ fees award, affirmed on appeal.
